Do
You Want To Be Featured in Top Sante MagazineWe have just
received the following appeal from a journalist called Andrea Childs who
wants to feature one of Dudley Ladies in a forthcoming article that she is
writing for Top Sante magazine..
If you are interested and think you fit the bill then contact her on the
email address below without delay.
She says:-
"Dear Rita
I'm a journalist researching a feature for Top Sante magazine on whether you
can be fat and fit, and I came across the website for Dudley Ladies. I
notice that one of your runners is a size 18. I wondered whether she, or any
of your other club members, would be suitable case studies for the piece?
The aim of the feature is to be an inspiring, positive read, showing that it
is better to be a larger size yet take plenty of exercise, than it is to be
a skinny couch potato.
I'm looking for five women, aged 30 to 48, of size 16 and above who each
exercise in different ways (running, swimming, yoga, etc) and enjoy a healthy
lifestyle despite their size. The women will be interviewed by me over the
phone, then will take part in a photo shoot in London (wearing gym gear) on
Tuesday February 27. On the shoot, a health expert will assess their fitness
and give pointers to readers about how to choose an exercise that best suits
them.
Please do let me know if any of your members are interested in taking part.
I need to pass all my case studies past the editor at Top Sante before going
ahead with any interviews, so I would need to know their age and dress size,
and have an idea of how often they run. I'll also need to a picture of them
emailed to me. My deadline is Monday to see details of anybody who might
want to be involved.
Please do email on
andrea.childs@ntlworld.com if you think you can help, or would like some
more information.
Best wishes, Andrea Childs"
