Do You Need a New Shopping Bag

Mary Solomon is currently trying to raise as much money as she can for Mencap

As well as doing a sponsored 10k run in London, she is also making and selling some very pretty and practical shopping bags.

She writes:

"As some of you may know, my son Michael, has Down's Syndrome and we have been lucky to enjoy the sports support and social opportunities that Mencap provides locally.

I now want to give something back, so I'm taking part in the Bupa London 10k on Bank Holiday Monday 26th May. My target is to raise £500 and I'm nearly half way there thanks to lots of lovely friends and supporters.

I'd be delighted if anyone would be willing to sponsor me and I have some forms available but in addition to that, I am also selling cotton shopping bags - all made by me and my family. (ditch the plastic carriers!) I am asking for a suggested donation of £3.00 per bag.

They will be available at Dudley Ladies for the next few Tuesdays and Thursdays, so bring a few quid and bag a bag!!"
