Hi
FolksMy
name is Jacky Fellows and I'm a mother to 3 children, Kate 16, Amy
13 and Hollie 6 and as if that isn't tough enough, I've signed up to
run the London marathon on April 13th!
I took up running
about 2 years ago to try and lose some of the weight I'd gained
after stopping smoking. If I'm honest, I didn't expect my latest fad
to last but never the less I bought some new trainers and joined
Dudley Ladies running club. Over the next year or so, not only did I
lose the weight, I also felt so much better in myself both
physically and mentally and I gained so many new friends too. I try
to encourage and support all new beginners who come to the club.
As for the
running, I'm not particularly quick but I do like a challenge. I've
competed in about 20 races so far, the toughest being Tough Guy
which is a gruelling 8 mile assault course which I completed in 3.5
hours.
Running the London
marathon is a once in a lifetime event for me. I'm so grateful to
DELTA for giving me the opportunity to take part in this amazing
event and not only do I want to do well in the race but I also hope
to raise at least £1,000 for Deaf Education. I've gained so much
from running and it would be nice to give a little back.
Please dig deep
and sponsor me online by going to my fundraising page at

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is
also the most efficient way to sponsor me: DELTA (Deaf Education
through Listening and Talking) will receive your money faster and,
if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your
gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
