Goodbye Ali and Good Luck

On the 11th October, Alison Camwell, one of Dudley Ladies most long standing and popular members will undertake the adventure of a lifetime when she embarks upon a back-packing trip around the world.

Alison has given up her job, converted and rented out her house and saved like mad in order to fund this escapade. We will all miss her cheery smile and pleasant company but wish her well and look forward to seeing her again in 12 months time, when she can make us all green with envy with stories about her experiences in South America, India, Borneo, New Zealand, Australia and all the other countries that she wil be visiting during her circumnavigation.

Alison will be sending us regular updates of her progress but for people who want to keep in touch with her, then Alison has supplied a list of ways to do so below :-

My UK post is being redirected for the next 12 months to my parents. 

If you want to send a letter etc. to me en route you can use the Poste Restante service.

Just let me know if you’ve sent something so that I know to pick it up.

Once our itinerary is live on the website you’ll be able to see which towns/cities we’re heading for, along with approximate arrival dates.

The Post Office will hold mail for up to 30 days.
