Pammy
and Co Bolt for itFriday 20th June saw Pam Edmunds and co take
part in the Blackdown Bolt 10k at Kidderminister. It was Pam's first race in
over 5 months and she writes:-
"Gail, Raj, her sister Baksho and I experienced the true meaning of the
word UNDULATING first hand last night Friday 20th June, at the Blakedown
Bolt 10k at Kidderminster - think I picked the wrong run to TEST my dodgy
ankle.
it was very hilly to say the least and all on uneven ground, winding
through thick woods on narrow footways, over styles, then just to top it off
trekking through a stream around 16 inches deep followed by a sandy steady
incline that you had to do with heavy wet trainers socks and feet !!!
.........! It was the farthest I had run in over 5 months due to injury, so
I was just so very pleased I finished the course.
The other girls did extremely well and did good times considering the
toughness of the course. It was hard but do you know what...... we enjoyed
the challenge!
The barbeque and beer tent made finishing even sweeter and with a unique
BOLT for a medal to add to our collection we enjoyed the experience. if you
want a race with a difference this is for you ( but perhaps not me haha )"
