Dudley
Ladies Bite The BadgerSunday 7th October saw nearly 50
Dudley Ladies take on the infamous Badger Bite off-road race.
Because the race was billed as being only 4 miles in distance, a
lot of our virgin runners were lulled in to giving it a go...... and
what a surprise they had.
What the race lacked in distance it certainly made up for in
terrain and boy what terrain it was.
However, undaunted our girls battled on and all finished with the
customary smile on their faces, although it has to be said that some
were a little forced.
Stars of the day were Petra Grigat-Bradley, who was first Dudley
Lady home, followed very closely by Carrie Creamer and Leeann West.
Overall star of the day however must go to the club as a whole
who won a framed cartoon and big box of chocolates for supplying the
largest contingent of runners who are just too numerous to mention.
At the pub for the presentation afterwards, the girls enjoyed a
well deserved drink and a barbeque and had a group photograph taken
with ex Wolves and Albion celebrity Don Goodman, with one of the
girls taking full advantage of the situation by giving Don's bottom
a pinch for good luck. No one owned up but Don seemed to enjoy it
all the same.
It was a well organised event, in fabulous surroundings with
great people...... roll on next year
